Compare physical and dimensional weight after packing. Oversized air inside a box can move an order into a more expensive bracket even when the product is light.

02
Create packaging rules, not improvisation
Assign suitable envelopes, boxes and protection to repeatable order profiles. Record the final dimensions so carrier comparisons use reality.
03
Use a route and service matrix
A domestic parcel, an Iberian order and a long-haul export should not automatically use the same carrier. Compare delivery experience, tracking, claims and surcharges alongside price.
04
Include delivery failure and returns
A cheap first attempt becomes expensive when address quality is poor, tracking is weak or the return route is unclear. Cost per successful order is the more useful measure.
